Founder of On My Hand, Shaye Woolford has always loved to create an atmosphere; in the past through a medium of food during her time in the hospitality industry, and now, focusing on all aspects of which creates atmosphere, On My Hand encompasses the polish of florals, the selection of lighting, props and furniture.
Shaye has taken time out to give us her top 5 places to see and things to do! Enjoy!
My Top 5
NOMAD | FOOD & WINE in Tauranga. The new kid in town, I've been going here heaps with my girlfriends! Seasonal produce, bold flavours, polenta fries, a cocktail list (and bartenders) to write home about and don’t even get me started on that Gin and Tonic menu. My personal favourite - the Beefeater 22 with grapefruit tonic, dehydrated ruby red grapefruit and fresh thyme.
THE GOOD ROOM in Mt Maunganui. The store where I go when I want to have fun with my home! I also love their Forage and bloom Bloom tea for warming up Winter days! A tea filled with elderberries, rooibos and hibiscus. So it's flowery. Which I like. Obv.
A GIFT BQ FROM US! Order online. Designed to surprise and delight, a gift bouquet made by yours truly will be created with seasonal florals and foliage with our Winter bouquets looking gorgeous lately with orchids, mini pineapples and beautiful rich hues.
THE CURIOSITY PROJECT Book online. If you need something to look forward to, sign up to their newsletter so you can be the first to know what’s going on. These guys only release an event after the last one has happened and have covered topics like craft beer and cured meats/sausages with the next weeknight workshop covering medicinal plants. And at $25 it's a cheap night out. I went to the meat workshop and learnt so much.
NECHE DESIGN STORE in Mt Maunganui. This very new design store is so so beautiful. Full of up and coming designers and creators, I'm coveting the light shades from Monmouth Glass Studio and a plant stand from Toki furniture & design.
